+- This heirloom French variety dates back to 1850 and produces long, knobbly shaped potatoes with pinkish skin and waxy, yellowish flesh. The shape of them means they can't be peeled - that's my excuse, anyway...
- Maincrop potatoes are grown to maturity for eating straight away or storing over the winter. They are harvested from September to October
- Grow in open ground, traditional potato sacks or pots at least 45cm wide and deep (two plants per pot)
